Carter Bellaimey is a US-Native Dialect Coach based in London. Originally from Minneapolis, he has BFA in Acting from Rutgers University and an MA in Sociocultural Linguistics from Goldsmiths College (University of London).
His background as both an actor and a trained linguist allows him to work with clients from both sides of the equation. Carter coaches all dialects, but specialises in working with actors to perfect their American accents – he also trained at Shakespeare’s Globe in regional and historical dialects of the UK.
Carter has coached actors such as Jodie Whitaker (Broadchurch, Doctor Who), Matthew Macfadyen (Succession HBO, Pride and Prejudice), Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), Alex Hassell (The Boys Amazon, Red Sea Diving Resort Netflix), and Adam Bernard (Dream Girls - 2017 Olivier Award Winner)
Recent credits include: Anna Bella Eema (The Arcola), Fireheart (upcoming animated feature starring Kenneth Branagh and Olivia Cooke), A Streetcar Named Desire (ETT and Theatr Clwyd), as well as pre-production work for series on HBO, Netflix, BBC, Amazon, and ITV.
