Carter Bellaimey a dialect coach on set for Tetris the movie

Carter Bellaimey is a professional dialect coach, voice-over actor, and linguist. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, he now lives and works in London.

As a dialect coach he’s worked in television, film, and theatre. Some clients include: Taron Egerton (Black Bird Apple TV+), Matthew Macfadyen (Succession HBO), Ralph Fiennes (Straight Line Crazy), Keeley Hawes (To Olivia), Olivia Cooke (Fireheart), Sam Heughan (To Olivia), Jonathan Bailey (Fellow Travelers Showtime), Tom Brittney (Invasion Apple TV+), Alex Hassell (The Boys Amazon) and more.

As a voice-over actor he’s worked on commercial projects for Dove Men, Ocean Spray and more. He has narrated audiobooks and documentaries, and voiced characters in animated TV shows such as Jessy and Nessy (Amazon).

And as a linguist his research is focused on how race and identity are perceived and created through accent, how/when actors are perceived as ‘authentic’ when performing a different accent, and the ways dialect coaches teach new accents. (Goldsmiths and QMUL)
